Finding a place to stay in Port Dickson is not difficult. The beaches are lined with Hotels, Condominiums and Holiday Resorts. Cheap Budget Hotels have also sprung up in numbers in recent years. The only problem is you have to do your bookings early when you plan to come during the school holiday seasons or if there is a long weekend break. Getting a place to stay in Port Dickson is quite impossible if you try to book at he last minute.
The normal time span, as in any popular holiday destination, to book your rooms during peak seasons is about 3 to 6 months in advance. However, if you know private operators who manages condominiums for owners on a personal basis, you still might be able to get rooms within 2 weeks. In that case, it would be best if you know someone locally.
During off seasons, rooms are readily available as most hotels will be operating at only about 60% of their full capacity. These will be the best time as there will be no rush and the beaches are not so crowded. Of course then there will be less activities as most operators of those sea sports like water scooters and others only operates during the weekends. If you are lucky, you might still catch one or two of them in action.
When you have the previledge of choosing where to stay, my recommendation is to get hotels along the 4th. to the 6th. mile of the Coast Road. There lies the best strips of beaches in Port Dickson. The sand are white and as many hotels are lined along the beach, the Hotel management make it a point to keep the stretch of beaches facing their hotels clean so customers will have a good stay in Port Dickson.
